Life Cycle of Insects

Dear all,

Today we look at life cycles of a butterfly, moth and mosquito.

Here are the links
Moth - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atOSro3_W7c
Butterfly - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AUeM8MbaIk
Mosquito - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQP0h0ygwoM

We also looked at the word "as"
As is used to say what someone/something is or is thought to be. For example:
"A butterfly begins life as an egg."
"A girl dresses as a clown."
"The man works as an artist."

Notice when we use "A" and when we use "The".
Do you recall what I have taught you?

"A" and "An" are called indefinite articles. We use them with singular countable nouns to talk about any single person or thing.
For example: This is a picture of an elephant.

"The" is called the definite article. We use it before a noun when we are talking about someone definite or something.
We also put "the"before a countable noun when there is only one.
Like The Sun, the moon or the sky.
